La Fundación I-TEC Ecuador y Servicios Aerofor se encargaron de la restauración del monumento o Icono histórico de Shell, ubicado en el Parque Central de la parroquia.
Después de 7 años se hace el mantenimiento ya que el clima amazónico ha hecho que se encuentre en malas condiciones.
Ahora se encuentra listo y se hizo la instalación el día 14 de Junio del 2018 y el sábado 16 de Junio se realizó un evento especial para la entrega oficial con la presencia de autoridades de la parroquia y la visita especial de Steve Saint y su familia, ya que su padre Nate Saint piloteaba el avión PIPER PA-14 que se encuentra como insignia en el parque.
Ha sido un arduo trabajo en la cual todo el equipo se ha esforzado para que continue en lo alto la historia de los 5 misioneros que ofrendaron su vida en la selva ecuatoriana.
